About the role

HDR's Colorado Resources Business Group covers power delivery and generation, renewables, oil and gas, mining, solid waste, industrial water and wastewater, and environmental services. As Business Group Manager, you'll own operations, business development, team growth, and client relationships for this multi-market practice — while also carrying project and client management responsibilities of your own. It's a senior leadership seat with real P&L accountability and room to shape where the group goes next.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a closely related field
15+ years of relevant industry experience in power, solid waste, industrial, mining, oil and gas, or related sectors (10-year minimum required)
Proven track record managing staff, clients, and contracts at an engineering consulting firm
Demonstrated ability to lead and grow multidiscipline teams
Active business development skills with established client relationships in the industry
Engagement in professional or industry associations
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to balance multiple priorities without dropping the ball
Local to Denver preferred; position is based in HDR's downtown Denver office with periodic travel
