About the role

Stantec's US Federal team is growing, and this role sits at the center of that effort — leading capture strategy and business development across federal government and Department of Defense accounts nationwide, with a focus on the US West geography. You'll own go/no-go decisions, build pursuit teams, and drive major A/E contract wins (Brooks Act SF-330s, Design-Build, and beyond) by connecting account managers, business line leaders, and marketing into a cohesive, winning machine. It's a senior seat with real influence over Stantec's federal trajectory.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree plus 15+ years of related experience, including 10+ years working directly in the US federal market across multiple agencies
Proven track record winning major federal A/E contracts — SF-330s, Design-Build, and large program contracts
Deep familiarity with federal funding programs, appropriations, and the Brooks Act procurement process
Demonstrated capture management skills: win theme development, risk reviews, teaming strategy, and proposal leadership
Strong existing relationships within federal agencies and the A/E industry partner ecosystem
Willingness to travel roughly 40–50% across the US
Advanced communication and presentation skills; comfortable influencing senior internal and external stakeholders
