About the role

HDR's Urban Design, Planning and Landscape Architecture (UDPLA) practice is looking for a Central Region Cross Sector Lead to provide strategic, operational, and people leadership across its regional studios. You'll own area coordination, design and technical quality, business development, and staff growth — while serving as the connective tissue between HDR's global UDPLA practice and the clients, markets, and teams on the Front Range and across the Central region. This is a senior leadership role for someone who wants to shape the direction of a practice, not just manage it.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related field
  • 10+ years of experience in urban design, planning, or landscape architecture
  • Active professional license strongly preferred — AICP for planners/urban designers, PLA for landscape architects
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring diverse project teams
  • Proven track record in client relationship development, pursuit strategy, and proposal leadership
  • Strong communication, organizational, and graphic skills
  • Willingness to travel for project work and internal collaboration
  • Experience with sustainable and/or regenerative design approaches
  • Comfort operating in a large matrix organization and building cross-disciplinary relationships

Interested candidates should submit a resume and portfolio of recent work (web-based link preferred).
