About the role

RK Industries is looking for a Director of VDC to lead its Virtual Design & Construction function as a centralized shared service across construction, manufacturing, and specialty trade business units. You'll own the strategy, standards, and technology roadmap — and make sure VDC is genuinely embedded in project delivery, fabrication, and field operations rather than bolted on as an afterthought. This is an executive-level role with real influence over how a large, growing multi-trade contractor builds and delivers work.

What we're looking for

15–20+ years of relevant VDC, BIM, or digital construction experience
Proven ability to lead multiple layers of management across multidisciplinary teams
Deep fluency in BIM, Lean construction, prefabrication, and advanced manufacturing methodologies
Experience defining and scaling shared services operating models across diverse project types and business segments
Familiarity with emerging technologies including automation, reality capture, digital twins, and AI-driven coordination tools
Track record of driving measurable ROI from VDC initiatives and reporting results to executive leadership
Recognized industry standing in VDC and digital construction practices
