About the role

HDR's Building Engineering Services Group is looking for a Healthcare Engineering Principal to anchor its Denver-based integrated architecture/engineering practice. You'll serve as the senior technical voice on complex, multi-disciplinary healthcare projects — setting the standard of practice, mentoring the team, and driving business development across the Central Region. This is a principal-level leadership role with real influence over how HDR grows its health engineering practice locally and regionally.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's preferred
PE license required (Colorado or reciprocal)
15+ years of related experience, including at least 7 years in project management
Proven track record leading large, complex healthcare projects as a mechanical or electrical discipline lead
Demonstrated business development experience within the health design market
Strong client relationship skills and comfort presenting to clients at a senior level
Experience mentoring and growing engineering teams
Familiarity with sustainable design and LEED a plus
MS Office and MS Project proficiency required
