POSITION DESCRIPTION

ICON Engineering is a Denver area civil engineering consulting firm specializing in water resources, stormwater and floodplain management. We are known for solving complex watershed and community infrastructure projects with engineering excellence. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams through hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain and stormwater studies, and design projects as well as build client relationships in these practice areas. The ideal candidate brings genuine enthusiasm for natural resources, watersheds and the communities these projects serve.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical duties including H&H modeling oversight, floodplain and stormwater studies, QA/QC for design, and engineering support for construction.
  • Project management duties including project scope, schedule and budget development and monitoring; preparing invoices for client billing; team workload planning; leading routine group meetings; participating in project manager meetings, and mentoring staff.
  • Champion relationships and business development with clients. Assist with client communication, writing proposals for project pursuits and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare outreach materials, lead meetings, and present technical information to clients.
  • Lead teams with surveyors, landscape architects, planners, ecologists and others to deliver high quality project deliverables.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with emphasis in water resources or an environmental field
  • PE designation
  • More than 10 years of full-time experience in water resource engineering and at least 5 years in a project management capacity.
  • Ability to participate in a hybrid working environment that will require an in-person presence (Centennial Office)
  • Experience working in a team environment. Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with EPA SWMM, CUHP, HEC RAS, 2D models, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ESRI, Microsoft

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in water resources
  • CFM certification
  • MHFD and other local agency experience in the Denver, CO area

  • Salary range for this position is $110k to $180k, dependent on experience. All inquiries will be handled confidentially.
